Landlords finest bitter kit

This kit has produced the best tasting bitter that I've produced so far. I also used the Danstar premium brewing yeast which may have contributed to the excellent taste. Highly recommended to try both together.

Worst Festival Kit I've done

I've done quite a few of the festival kits now, and this was bar far teh worst. As a lover of Taylors Landlaord I was hoping this would be a close match, but sadly it wasn't. At first I thought I'd screwed up somewhere in the process, and thought I would have to pour the lot. As I made 10 gallon at a time, and as a Yorkshireman, I couldn't chuck £50 down hte drain, so I persevered, but it will be one Festival kit I won't try again.

Decent session ale

This was my first kit ,have to say it turned out well ,seems a little 'musty' at first but does improve .Would reduce water next time as a tad thin .

Does not taste anything like Landlord,in fact it tastes dreadful. Why on earth do you add the hops at the end.

Bitter and weak

Very disappointing after reading all the rave revues. After 3 weeks I was expecting the bitterness to decrease and the flavour to improve. This hasn't occurred yet. I will leave it a while longer to see if it improves otherwise it's the drain!

Tasty Landlord

Instructions appear fussy compared with other kits but the emphasis on patience gives a great reward. Hop pellets are added after 5 days brewing and what a differnce they make. Unfortunately i didnt use the hop filter bag when decanting so the final result was a little hazy although this may have been remedied through fining rather than tying the small supplied muslin bag to the syphon tube. The kit comes in plastic sachets rather than tins which were a bit clumsy to use & difficult to rinse out compared to tins but no struggle with a can opener! I'm going to order another and make sure I filter out the used hops next time as the taste of this hoppy beer is great and it kept its head from the barrel pressure without the need for CO2-if you like real ale you'll like this.

Landlords Finest

Landlords finest. Has a nice golden colour as it's illustrated on the box.I would have liked it to be a little clearer. I think this is down to my own inexperience. I added the priming sugar to the second bucket. then stirred it. I think I should have left it to desolve. Very tasty and good enough to share.
