Early test

I have just tried this kit and its been just over 2 weeks in bottle- so its really not ready. I put some in a test bottle and opened this. to try. It is already amazing, goodness knows what It will be like in 3/4 weeks conditioning once its mellowed. I will definitely be buying this kit again and probably as I think I will need a stock of this beer!

Fantastic American style IPA

Took a fair bit longer to brew than the instructions indicated but a fabulous end result. In the same league as the wonderful Young's American IPA. Up with the best brews I've ever dunk on a pub. Only been home brewing for 8 months but still amazed by the quality of the best kits.

Worth the wait

This brew took 27 days to ferment out from initial SG of 1049 to final SG of 1005, even though it was on a heating pad. However, the result is very good and improving with bottle age. It's a clean, fresh citrus flavour and one that I'll definitely brew again.

Excellent IPA

I've only had this in the bottle 2 weeks and already it tastes fantastic. The hops come through really well and it's extremely smooth tasting. Brewed this using Asda mineral water as the water in my area is terrible and I think you can really taste the difference. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would happily brew it again

Best beer kit ever

This is by far the best homebrew kit I have ever tried (and I've tried quite a few). It beats the vast majority of expensive bottled beers too. If you like your beer hoppy, you won't find better. For maximum hoppiness, add the hops 2 or 3 days before bottling. A truly awesome beer kit.

hoppy

Nicely balanced hoppy beer of the type that is popular these days. Recommended.

Razorback IPA

One of my favourite IPA kits, not the cheapest but worth that little bit extra.

Razorback IPA

So this one. 3 weeks in primary fermentation. 1 week in secondary at room temperature then in the garage for about 4 more weeks. davebrew001 on the website posted a review, to quote as follows: "up to the usual Festival standard, clear instructions and straightforward process giving a good quality, hoppy summer brew, strong too, mine finished at circa 6.5%. However for real depth of brew flavour and complex hoppy fun this lacked something.." I gotta say I agree with him. The beer makes a nice well balanced, clear and smooth beer. It's just nothing special. I rate it above the St. Peters Ale kits which altough are easy to do, and make nice beer, I think are bland compared to others, but this still isn't a patch on the Young's American Craft Beer Brewing Kits.

Great service

Beer tastes great although not quie cleared as yet. Still has a few days to go according to instructions. Had a problem with tap on my barrel it was dripping. I informed home brew and they sent me a replacement straight away.

tastes just as good as an excellent pale from a pub.

Been about 3 weeks since I bottled it, still a bit cloudy but tastes superb, has a nice balanced hop flavour and no dodgy after tastes at all. Well worth the little bit of extra hassle of double syphoning.

Razorback IPA Beer

This kit is a must for anyone wanting a good strong summer ale. Leave initial brewing process for at least 21 days at 24 degrees. Takes around another 4 weeks to clear. Transfer to bottles or pressure barrel. Leave another two weeks then, wow. A pint of real ale for around 60p. :)
