Give it head

Crafty Fox carbonation drops are so easy to work with, unlike loose sugar were you end up doing the sand dance when finished. I tend to use one and a half drops per 500ml of Tom Caxton strong pilsner lager. The finishing touch for a perfect lager. Recommended.

Done the job

Good product that offers really good value, have ordered this twice since my original purchase. Works just as well as Wilkos own brand but for half the price.

Convenient but not so effective

I used these for convenience and to create less mess and waste, but I also did use normal granulated sugar in a few bottles too. The granulated sugar has definitely given me better carbonation after a couple of weeks in the bottle. Although the bottles with drops in continue to improve with time. But personally I think I will use a small funnel and measuring spoon with granulated sugar from now on.

Sweet result

Used carbonation drops for the first time in Tom Caxton strong pilsner. Instead of messy sugar I used one and a half drops in each 500 ml bottle and the final result was a nice popping sound when releasing the wired tops. With the next batch I will use two drops per bottle for a little more fizz. Recommended.

Crafty carbonation drops

At last a drop for 500ml bottles . But don't go by the quantity on the packet which varies dramatically with lots of dust left in the bag . Would pay to buy a second bag if using two drops per bottle .

Does the job nicely

Why spend more when these do the job just as well as more expensive versions. The only downside I have found is that the contents are ALWAYS less than the estimate, not once has there been more than the stated amount - which is a pain if you run out with a couple of bottles left to fill.

For lazy bottlers

Much less messy than priming powder, but that bit more expensive. But a boon for lazy bottlers. I only prime with one drop (0.5 teaspoon of sugar) so it is slightly more cost effective.

Great product
